Medical centers are also joining the peaceful protest against suspension of the EU candidacy talks. “I. Zhordania Medical Center“, “Clinic Innova” and “N. Bokhua Medical Center” publish a statement that these clinics and their medical staff “express full solidarity with and stand beside Georgia’s population. We are constantly ready to provide necessary assistance free of charge – be it any medical intervention or examination – to all those who were injured as a result of violence in recent days.”
As of December 10, according to information received through the hotline of 11 Georgian non-governmental sector organizations since November 28, more than 460 peaceful protesters have been detained, of which more than 300 were subjected to torture and ill-treatment during and after detention. The age of detained persons ranges from 15 to 60 years. Along with men, women and children were also detained.
Parallel to the protest, at least 3500 public servants or employees of budgetary institutions have joined statements distributed by various groups, where they condemn violence and suspension of European integration process.
