“As employees of the National Bank of Georgia, within the framework of the EU Association Agreement and in accordance with the obligations undertaken by Georgia, we have been working for years to align Georgian financial sector regulations with European standards, which has significantly contributed to a sustainable and steadily growing financial system.
The statement made on November 28 regarding the removal of EU negotiations from Georgia’s agenda until 2028 contradicts Article 78 of the Constitution of Georgia and does not correspond to the country’s historical aspiration to become a full member of the European family.
We, the employees of the National Bank of Georgia, support the continuous and irreversible implementation of the country’s European integration.”
