„Statement by Public Servants:
We, persons employed in Georgia’s public sector, have sincerely and faithfully served and continue to serve not any political group, but Georgia’s national interests, which includes protecting our homeland’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
We believe that against the backdrop of today’s geopolitical challenges, Georgia’s integration with the West is vitally important, as is fully implementing all mechanisms that this process offers. Throughout all these years, we have made significant contributions to fulfilling the EU Association Agenda, visa liberalization, and the process of approximation with EU legislative space, with the belief that this was daily work directed towards a future that is inspired by our ancestors’ inevitable desire, is oriented on humans, and is protected.
We have been working for a future that gives each person the opportunity for dignified life, wellbeing, equality, development, and pursuit of happiness. With this belief, we explicitly distance ourselves from the statement made on November 28 and strongly condemn the disproportionate dispersal of Georgian citizens’ peaceful protest! We confirm our unwavering loyalty to the will clearly expressed multiple times by the majority of Georgian citizens, as declared in the Article 78 of Georgia’s Constitution!
